Not all essential oils are created equal! As you may recall from prior blogs and education in the Our Essential Life community, Young Living’s Seed to Seal promise sets our essential oils apart leaps and bounds above the rest. Why? Because from the time a seed is selected to the time it’s planted, to the time it’s harvested, distilled, bottled, and tested, we have the highest standards in the industry. Young Living essential oils are absolutely the only essential oil I would ever recommend ingesting…which leads us to our line of Vitality oils.
Vitality essential oils come in 5ml bottles with a white-label, and they are safe for human ingestion. I love knowing that a quick check for the white labels lets me know which of my oils can be taken internally. Make sure to read the instructions on the labels for directions and amounts, but I always recommend starting super small with 1-2 drops and slowly increasing (which is likely unnecessary) when ingesting essential oils. The content of these bottles is the same pure, high-quality essential oil in the regularly labeled bottles.
When ingesting essential oils, remember that they are highly concentrated and very potent. A little goes a long way! You can add vitality essential oils to your food (we recommend with a toothpick swirl), drop them under your tongue (sublingually), and make capsules with a carrier oil. Because of the natural detoxifying effect of essential oils on the liver and body, it is recommended that if you are taking any over the counter or prescription medications, you avoid ingesting essential oils and stick to topical and inhalation/diffusing methods.
Below are three of our community-favorite ways to use Young Living Vitality Oils…
- Feeling a little off? Maybe had a hard workout or climbed too many stairs or feeling the aftermath of too much sugar? Try 2-3 drops of Copaiba Vitality essential oil under your tongue. This is a favorite oil to keep in the gym bag or purse for that always-available relief.
- Paleo Brownies
-1 C organic almond butter
-1/2 C full fat organic coconut milk (canned)
-1/3 C organic maple syrup
-1 organic free-range egg
-2 tbs organic coconut oil
-1 tsp organic vanilla
-1/3 C organic cocoa powder
-1/2 tsp baking soda
-1/4 C chocolate chips (dairy and soy-free)2 drops Young Living Cinnamon Bark Vitality OR Peppermint Vitality oil
Mix all ingredients well except half of the chocolate chips and pour into a parchment paper-lined 8X8 baking dish. Sprinkle the other half of the chocolate chips on top. Bake on 350 for 20-25 minutes until the toothpick comes out clean from the center.

- For the perfect support during seasonal changes, if you’ve been too close to pet dander, or cleaned out your dusty closet, make a capsule with 2 drops Peppermint Vitality, 2 drops Lavender Vitality oil, and 2 drops Lemon Vitality oil and fill the rest of it with olive or coconut oil.
